Stewards of the Wild-Abilene Kayak Fishing Tournament

  • Saturday, July 26, 2025
  • 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Lake Fort Phantom

Join us Saturday July 26th for the Stewards of the Wild-Abilene Chapter kayak fishing tournament! We will meet up at Lake Fort Phantom at 6am at the boat ramp off of East Lake Rd and Cherokee Circle on the Southeast end of the lake. We will go over rules, provide event bracelets and answer questions. Once we're done, fishermen can drive to any part of the lake to launch their kayak. We will meet back up at 12pm at that same boat ramp to tally results and give out prizes to first, second and third place.

Rules:

We will score by inches. Most inches per best five fish. Species scored will be white bass, hybrid bass or largemouth bass. Fishermen will take a picture of each fish on a measuring board wearing a provided event bracelet in picture to validate time/date of the picture. Measuring boards will not be provided so be sure to bring one.

Entry fee is free for members or $25 for nonmembers and will include an annual membership to Stewards of the Wild. Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram for future events.

Prizes:

1st Place: Iceland Coolers Berserker Series 5gal Bucket Cooler in Marine Camo, Bates Fishing Co. Reel

2nd Place: Bates Fishing Co. Reel

3rd Place: Duck Camp Clothing Package (if you are a different size, we will work with Duck Camp to get you the right size)
