  • $200/family for Saturday afternoon hunt (dinner is included)

    Cancellation Policy: Cancel 4 weeks in advance of event, receive a full refund. Cancel 2-4 weeks in advance of event, receive 50% refund. Cancel less than 2 weeks in advance of event, receive no refund.

Time: Afternoon hunt on Saturday, Sept. 13 (arrive by 1:30 p.m.) and morning hunt on Sunday, Sept. 14.


Location: Albany, Texas


This is a great opportunity to get out in the field with your family doing what we all love and introduce your children to conservation and a fun time in the field. Traditionally a Dallas Chapter event, this year's family dove hunt is open to ALL chapters! Thank you to the Dallas Chapter for leading the way on this event and allowing more SOTW members and kids to partake in this opportunity. Also a big thank you to the Dallas, Fort Worth, Abilene, and Midland Chapters for providing meals!


Safety is at the upmost importance, if this is your child's first hunt or first time shooting you MUST email kspurgin@tpwf.org for additional guidance and suggested preparations.


Cost:

  • Option 1: $200/family for Saturday afternoon hunt (dinner is included)
  • Option 2: $300/family for Saturday afternoon hunt and Sunday morning hunt (dinner and breakfast are included)

Ticket Option 1 includes a Saturday afternoon dove hunt and dinner back at the silos; Ticket Option 2 includes a Saturday afternoon dove hunt, dinner back at the silos, breakfast Sunday morning and a Sunday morning dove hunt.


Please note that release waivers will be required for parents to sign prior to hunting. Minors (under the age of 18) must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian for this hunt. Minors who are not accompanied by a parent/legal guardian will not be allowed to hunt.


Important details: All adult hunters must have completed hunters safety education prior to the hunt. Please note this is not a first time hunt for adults, adults attending should be experienced and have completed hunters ed. Waivers will be provided for adults and children and a parent or legal guardian must sign waivers for his/her minor child(ren) that is attending. Hunters education is also required for children aged 9 and older and must be completed prior to the hunt. Children without a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian will not be allowed to participate in the hunt.
